*This is book 2 in the Texas Trilogy by Lorraine Heath although it can be read alone without any problems.

I loved this story. I felt for Dee and I understood Dallas. It is an emotion roller coaster for these two. I cried several times. It was great to see Houston and Amelia from the first book.

Texas Glory is book two in Heath's Texas series..After loosing his first bride Amelia to his brother Houston, Dallas is desperate to marry. He is willing to marry Cordelia McQueen sight unseen. He'll give up water rights and she'll give him a son. Their story is one of Lorraine Heath's best...

[4 stars] TEXAS GLORY was a wonderful read - very funny at times (had me laughing out loud), extremely heartbreaking at others (would have teared up if I was a book-crier). Cordelia's fear can be a little exasperating at the beginning and one can't help but feel for Dallas, who is the only one who isn't on the receiving end of her burgeoning smiles. Additionally, the miscommunication between these two in both the first and final thirds of the book could try the patient of a saint - and I'm no saint. Nonetheless, the book is great and I would definitely recommend it.

TEXAS TRILOGY:
Book 1 - TEXAS DESTINY, Houston Leigh and Amelia Carson
Book 2 - TEXAS GLORY, Dallas Leigh and Cordelia (Dee) McQueen
Book 3 - TEXAS SPLENDOR, Austin Leigh and Loree Grant

Texas Glory is the second story of the Leigh family. Good, touching story, love marriage of convenience theme, still too clean for me. It was my favorite of the series though, it had most of the right elements, strong character developments, made me cry and you rooted for their HEA.

He belonged to the land. She was given to a stranger.
Dee was traded in a land battle to Dallas. Can they learn to love?
Good story. Easy read.

Dallas Leigh has built his ranch empire, plus created a new town in West Texas. However, he has a problem -- he wants a son. West Texas offers few LADIES of marriageable age.

Dallas also has a problem with some rancher-enemies -- the McQueens. It turns out that they have a daughter and Dallas has the water the McQueens need for their cattle.

Problem solved, right? What a silly thought.

Cordelia McQueen turns out to be a lovely woman who has been kept inside the family home for years -- to "protect" her. She has also been served up large portions of hateful comments about the Leigh family - particularly Dallas. Finally, Cordelia's father has promised her that she would never have to marry!

When the McQueen patriarch "gives" his daughter for water rights to his worst enemy -- we have the makings of a great story!

I adore Jodi Thomas, but in her trilogies the main characters (in previous books) almost disappear in later stories. Lorraine Heath, however, continues to weave those (previous main) characters into later volumes. I really enjoy this aspect of her books.

This is an emotionally-intense book. Bring your hankie! A superb read!

1) TEXAS DESTINY
2) TEXAS GLORY
3) TEXAS SPLENDOR
