Thanks to the recommendation of someone on this forum, I requested Poor Splendid Wings by Patricia Veryan through ILL. I received it from another library in my state.

I enjoyed the book but not nearly as much as I had anticipated. I think I much prefer her Georgian and Regency romances. Don't take me wrong, it was good, but I couldn't get it into it as much as I enjoy her other books. I think for WW 2 romances, I liked Sentimental Journey by Jill Barnett much better.

At least I got to read it and don't have to keep it on my wishlist any longer :)

Yep, ILL is the only way that I was able to read PSW.  Loved seeing the house(wasn't it Greenwings???) and the family that we've seen in her Regencies and Georgians.  But, yes, overall it's a sad book-given the period I guess that's to be expected.

I love the Inter Library Loan system.  My library is well stocked and they buy most books I suggest, but when they don't buy them, they get them through the inter library loan system and let me know when they are in.  I love my library....period.

I love ILL.  I just got finished reading Conor's Way by Guhrke last week.  Glad that I got to order it, I liked it alot but, not a keeper for me.  Didn't have to shell out 20.00 for the book.

As the Inter Library Loan Librarian in a small public library, let me say thank you! I love what I do and I especially love it when folks get excited about the fact that I found the book.

Right now I've been working on getting books for an older gentleman, he wants to read westerns published in the early 1900s. You should see his face when he comes in and I have a new book for him. He lights up like a tree at Christmas.

I love my library--I can't imagine not having one. And one good thing about PBS? It got me using my public library more because I now search specifically for books on my wishlist here at the library to see if they have a copy and I can save myself a credit here ;)

I haven't used it yet but I know my  library has a great system..they even 'advertise' it on their website instead of you having to hunt around and ask! they're happy to do it too..I've had them offer several times to go ILL for me but I declined since I already had a lot to read.

I was so inspired that I just spent a good hour or so going on our statewide database and looking up books from my wishlist, I didn't do all of them but I made a good dent and now have a list to take to my library tomorrow to start putting in requests.

Oh no, I'm not doing that, Nancy. I'm keeping them on my WL here--just in case!
