Very informative and interesting book. Keep my interest as much as a fiction book would while learning a lot of history of the U.S.
Excellent book covering the presidential years of Theodore Roosevelt who was a complicated man of values. It is an entertaining book for those who enjoy history.
Excellent, excellent, excellent. The perfect biographer for Theodore Roosevelt. His first book 'The Rise of Theodore Roosevelt' won the Pulitzer prize. This book is just as worthy.
Excellent. I give it an A.
My husband, a high-school history teacher, found this book to be thorough and informative. However, he says it is about 100 pages longer than necessary, has excessive use of french terms that the author never bothers to explain, and is too verbose when it could be just as effectively concise. He is glad that he slogged through it, for the most part.
