Just when I think Caine must be close to running out of ideas, she comes up with another doozy of a plot. Joanne's encounter with the Oracles and the mad djinn Ashan has left her with no memory. It's a teensy inconvenience when the Wardens need her Weather powers to help them contain the maelstrom that has been unleashed all over the world, as she has no idea how to use them - and even more so when it is discovered she has acquired the powers of Fire and Earth as well, making her only the second Warden ever to have a full deck. But then a Demon who has stolen her memories takes her form, and now she is on the run, chased by the Wardens who have been taken in by the demon. She's being helped by a djinn who wants to take her back to Ashan, the one who ripped her memories from her in the first place. Of course, she goes along as she doesn't remember why this would be a really bad idea...

Caine is really having fun with her characters and her world, and she takes her readers on a bad-ass, exciting and fun ride. There's a more serious feel to this story, as the various factions among both djinn and human are forced to come together if they want to save their world. The characters too are growing richer, and I'm really looking forward to the next book.

Joanne Baldwin wakes up in the woods, freezing and naked. She cannot remember her name, nor does she recognize the two men who find her. The one called David is a Supernatural who says he is her boyfriend. The other man, Lewis, can control the weather...and says Joanne can do the same. Soon Joanne is trying to regain her memories of the past, and finds a demon, who is wearing her face, has stolen her memories and wants to steal her life.

This is the sixth book in the Weather Warden series. It felt like it had a slower pace than the previous books but I enjoyed the story. In this one Joanne spends her time trying to regain her memory and also trying to discover how she suddenly has Earth Warden capabilities, a power she never hard before. All the usual characters are back for this one including Joanne's sister, Sarah, and her dastardly boyfriend, Eamon. I'm hoping she meets up with them in future books. My rating: 4 Stars.

I love this weather warden series, but don't recommend them to anyone unless you read them i order. The author doesn't bring the reader up to speed, nor does she review much, just drops you into the action!

Love the Weather Warden series. Would make some great movies with all those 'special effects' - and all those gorgeous guys - David, Lewis, Ashan, Eamon, etc.
