This is one of those novels that you pick up and get so involved in the "family" because things are happening so fast that there is no place to stop, you just have to keep flipping pages. I picked this read because i loved this authors book "Real Life & Liers". This novel is just as good and shows what a family is like when there is a divorce and a crisis happens with the children. The father, newly engaged, his fience and the kids all live in the house and of course the ex-wife is always going to be in the picture. The son goes missing and the ex-wife has temporarly moved back into the house also. You can instantly smell smoke coming from her head!!. The ex-husband i found was so spineless and he infurated me to no end but i found myself liking him. The ex-wife was really a piece of work, she had issues--HUGE issues. It made for a great story. I found myself rooting for the fience and was ready to scream at the divorced couple. They almost deserved each other again. I loved the kids reactions, as this is really how kids are, suffering and quiet, and innocent. This story could totally of happened in real life, so made for an engrossing read. I loved it, it brought out all kinds of emotions. I am looking for more from this author, i love her books.
