One of my favorite authors! I love James Herriot. Each chapter is its own short story, with a common period of Herriot's life woven through the book (courtship, early marriage, etc.) Great for adults, and also great for kids. I'm honored to have found a used copy to post here, since my personal copy is a forever-keeper!

3rd in the Herriot series, but you don't have to read them in order. Always good for a laugh.
