I can have credits hanging around for several days with no WL books posted.  Then, when I do spend the credits WHAM! Here come WL books available and "Do you want to purchase credits?"   LOL

I think that is called "swapper's law"!  I've had that happen a couple of times that I couldn't buy credits.  I missed out on some great books. Oh well, I have a wall of books I need to go through as well.

The system actually let me go into the negative once when that happened to me. Maybe it was because I had several books I had mailed out that hadn't been rec'd by that time?

Wow, Rita.  I've not heard of that happening before.  I still think I'm ahead even when I buy some credits.  I babysit one little girl on Tuesdays after public school lets out and get $10 for the 2 hours she is with me.  You know where that money goes. LOL

I'm pretty new to this but I have found out something that has really worked for me.  I come to the discussion forms and go to peoples wish lists and see if I have any of the books they are wanting.  Then if I have 1 or 2 books that they are wishing for then I have to make a decision.  Am I willing to depart with the book to swap for another book.  So if I have already read it and don't plan on re-reading it, then I post it and it gets a hit and off it goes and I await my credit.  Try this if you haven't already and see how many credits you can get.
