I'm dying to try this out...at least when the weather cools a bit, but I realized that I can't have macadamia nuts because of some medication I'm on. :-(

Can someone bake up a batch of these and tell me how they are?

Use a basic cream cheese cookie recipe

Add chopped, dried pineapple, coconut flakes, and macadamia nuts.

BTW, this is my first visit to the cooking forum, and, boy, you guys make me hungry! :-P

Oh, and if anyone can figure out a good substitute for macadamia nuts, I'd appreciate it! I'm leaning towards either Brazil nuts or white chocolate chips, myself.

can you have hazelnuts?  you could make them into a praline and chop that up into the cookies.

or, almonds and pine nuts mixed together might be good, with the white choco chips you mentioned.  yum!

I would add English walnuts and Marachino cherries to it.  Sorry you can't have macadamia nuts. They would be so good.

I'm curious to know what you decided on, and how the cookies turned out?
