We'll be moving down to stay with my grandma for a while until we find a new place of our own. Last time I was there, I helped her open a PBS account (putting me as her referrer) because I had told her about it and she liked the idea (she does really well with websites, so long as she's showed how they work first), but didn't have time to show her the rest (posting books, etc.). So, the account has just sat there this whole time. I was thinking I'd show her the rest while I'm there, and get her active here, but now I'm wondering if it'd cause a issue with us both at one address and my being listed as her referrer. Though, I suppose there's no reason to really need to change my PBS address until we find our own place at some point soon, since I doubt I'll be receiving books before then, and I could mail them out regardless, though I might have to change the return address just in case of any problems.

What do you think?

Yes, I think it will be a problem.  You should contact PBS and apprise them of the situation and see what they suggest.  You don't want to risk having both accounts suspended for non-allowed activity.

I agree with Dawn. Contact PBS and let them know that it's a temporary situation while you are in between residences.

Most likely the wouldn't notice but now that you've put it on the forums it's out there.

The thing to do is be proactive about the move and contact TPTB and see if this would create a conflict.  If you have a post office nearby, you could also look into renting a PO Box for your transitionary period and receive your mail there.  Honestly, I've just always used a PO Box as I prefer that random strangers do not know where I live.

PBS allows two accounts per family/household.  Unless one or the other of you has another account, you should be fine.  But if you have a spouse or child with their own account, that could be viewed as three accounts in one household and I'd recommend contacting PBS admin.  Otherwise, IMO you're within membership guidelines and merely need to temporarily change your mailing addy.  Have fun with grandma & enjoy your move!

I'm thinking that the main problem is the referral credit and free credits for posting books, because that is only allowed once per household (no referral credit for household members, free credits for posting books once per household). It will probably look fishy if her account suddenly goes active and your address has changed to match.

Just contact TPTB and ask them about it. I wouldn't think that in your situation that they'd demand a return of the credit(s), but it's better to be upfront and honest with them than to hope they don't notice, KWIM?

I agree with the group, I'd contact PBS to be on the safe side.  Why create a problem when you don't have to.
