Ok I have never read a Meg Cabot book before and I'm thinking about starting. What would be a good book to start with? Should I go with the Princess Diaries? Her other YA books? Her Babble series? Stand alone chick lit? I have a feeling once I start, if I like her, I'll want to read them all but the hard part is figuring out just where to start.

I really liked the Heather Wells series - Size 12 is Not Fat, Size 14 is Not Fat Either, and Big Boned. I tend to like myseries as well as chick lit, though. I have some of the Princess books but haven't read them yet - and I recently read another of hers that I can't think of right now... Queen of Babble is supposed to be good but my library never gets the first or second one in :(

So I suppose my suggestion is the Heather Wells series :) They are all quick reads, either way.

I tried the Heather Wells series and I couldn't get into it. I would recommend starting the Babble series. It's a very enjoyable read!

I second the Babble series, they are my favorite by her. I would skip She Went All the Way; I hated that book!

I didn't like She Went All the Way either. The Queen of Babble books are great; I love the first two. The third one is in my TBR pile. And the "Boy" books are good too. They are all written in emails, memos, ims, etc. Very funny! The first one is The Boy Next Door.

I didn't like She Went All The Way either. It was written more like a romance then chick lit in my opinion.

I have read the boy books and really enjoyed themed.  Their format makes them a very quick read.  I have The Boy Next Door  and Boy Meets Girl.  I am adding to my TBR Every Boy's Got One as I have not read that one yet.

Thanks for reminding me about it.  :)

Wait, so are the boy books a series too?  And they are all written in the e-mail style like "The Boy Next Door"?  I loved that one so if that is the case, I need to order the other ones!

Yes, Renae, they are a series and are all in the same style.  Some of the characters come back, if I remember correctly.

Can someone tell me the titles that are in the Queen of Babble series?  I looked at all her titles on PBS and I don't see where any of them are identified of being in that series, except for the obvious first one.  Thanks.

Thanks- for whatever reason, the last two were not showing up at all under Meg Cabot's list of books (where it has the available books in green and the unavailable ones in red).  Weird.

The Queen of Babble series sounds good and funny, which is alway nice on my scale.  I've ordered some chick lit that has been suggested to me and am waiting to recieve them but Meg Cabot's Queen of Babble series is on my list!

I'm in the middle of Size 12 Is Not Fat, and am really enjoying it so far. Heather Wells is hilarious. I'd definitely recommend it.
