I spent the whole day yesterday reading without eating or sleeping. That is how captivating it is. I read a lot of the reviews before I started and I completely agree that Keira didn't deserved either one of them! There was nothing, I mean nothing wrong with Denny. Believe me I looked for ways to make what she was doing with Kellan seem ok but I couldn't. Denny is the perfect guy- smart, kind, ambitious and gorgeous plus he's Australian! (I would imagine his words in an Australian accent as he spoke). He loved her so much! I even shed a few tears for him which is rare! Kellan is the typical tortured soul we all love to feel sorry for but can't help being ultra attracted to. The reason I didn't give it five stars is because of Kiera. She irritated me the entire time, her indecisiveness, naivety and her annoying insecurities. I just wanted her to make a decision already and stick to it. In the end, the choice was really made for her. The lesson she learned is that if you play with fire you will get burned and she was toast! I don't know that the book really needs a sequel but I'm already reading it because I can't help myself! Enjoy! You will not be disappointed!

This book was just 'alright' for me.

I liked Kellan a lot. Then again, i love the whole 'moody, artist' thing. Denny really was such a sweet, good guy. I felt horrible for him all through the book. I wanted to smack Kiera more than a few times. I dont think she could be honest to save her life. I really think that both of these guys were too good for her.

LOTS of emotion and angst.

There is one thing i hated about this book. While reading it, instead of 'getting lost' in the story, it almost felt as if i was having the story read to me, if that makes sense. I dunno, just the writing style i guess. I just couldnt 'lose' myself in the story like i usually can. It seemed that most of the book was description and inner dialogue. I wish there was more actual dialogue between the characters.

I did enjoy alot of the secondary characters. The other band members and waitresses at the bar were fun.

I enjoyed reading this book. Don't get me wrong Kiera totally ticked me off at times, but mainly because of what she was doing. No matter what spin you put on it cheating is wrong. So her and Kellan were both to blame.

However at the sametime I can understand. Life isn't black and white. It's not always about the good guy vs the bad guy. Sometimes in making choices about a relationship there is no bad guy. This story represents that. Both Denny and Kellan truly are good guys. Even though at some points in the book Kellan does some awful things. At the sametime you can't help who you fall in love with or out of love with.

I could understand Kiera's struggle with making a decision. Afterall Denny was truly her first love and holds a special place in heart. She loves him and will always love him because of the special place he has. It's hard to let go of that and move on to something else. So I can understand her stuggle and the author did a great job of allowing us to view her personal struggles and emotional turmoil.

I did feel absolutely horrible for Denny though throughout the book. Afterall he did love Kiera and gave up everything to be with her and try to make her happy. So read what was going was also heartbreaking.

A book truly about how people can love more than one person in more than one way. That choices aren't always when dealing with love. What are you truly willing to do and how hard are willing to fight to be with the one person that makes you complete. A book about beginnings, endings, hurt, happiness, and EVERYTHING in between.

In the end I'm glad things were worked out for everyone involved and that all parties seem to have a happy ending....for now. Afterall this is a series so who knows what will happen. I for one am looking forward to reading the 2nd book.

Both guys Kellan and Denny Kellan though more, perhaps because he is a musician, tortured, or versy sexual. No idea but Kellan Kyle is definitely scrumptious.
