For me, Marian Keyes is kind of a hit-and-miss.  I've loved some things that she's written (Angels, Sushi for Beginners) and have not been crazy about others (Lucy Sullivan is getting married, The Other Side of the Story).  I listened to The Other Side of the Story on tape though, so maybe part of my 'not being crazy about the story' was the reader, which  happens sometimes.  I will give her another chance though!

LOVE Marian Keyes.  Her books are really the only ones I count down until they're released.  My favorites are those about the Walsh sisters (Rachel's Holiday and Is Anybody Out There being my favorite books, and I reread them regularly.)  I really have not read anything by her that I didn't like.

I own "Rachel's Holiday" but haven't read it yet. And I just ordered "Sushi for Beginners"!

Now I am excited about reading them.

I love all her books (I know, this is an old post), but admittedly some more than others. The Walsh sisters are my favorites; probably my very favorite being Rachel's Holiday. I'm so worried about her (not that I know her personally). I'm hoping she's doing better now. She's one of my favorites.

To add to an older thread that has gotten some life, I just discovered Marian Keyes. I started sort of in the middle with Is Anyone Out There. Loved it. Great character development of even secondary characters. Good mixture of laughter and more serious emotions. Read A Charming Man and liked parts but overall could not reccommend to friends just wanting a lighter read with more positive than negative themes. Just started The Last Chance Saloon about 150 pages in. So far really good.

Been meaning to come and post that in case you've not heard, she's doing a bit better! Yay!
