I just finished it and is it me or does he seem to have a theme in all his stories?

I just finished it and I didn't think it was his best book.  I really love his books but I was about 1/2 way through the book before I actually started to care about any of these characters.  My mom read it and loved it.  Right now my aunt is going to read it next to se what she thinks.  This was the first time I had a hard time picking one of his books to keep reading.  Kinda boring if you ask me.  But, I am a sucker for Sparks so I will always read what he writes.

P.S. I met him in person at a local booksigning a few years ago.  It was awesome and he is sooo nice!

Really Wendy, that's good to hear.  He's probably the only male author I enjoy reading and I agree with you this one was not one of his best.  Probably because of all the movie hype?

I really enjoyed his True Believer & the sequel one.  Those are my favs....I nearly died when I read The Choice since it was a surprising ending.

Maureen,  There was a huge line of people and before the book signing he went down the line and shook everybodys hand, thanked us for coming and let us take pictures with him.  There was a lady right in front of us who's camera jammed and couldn't get a picture. She ran next door to buy a cheap disposable one and just before he started signing the books he came back to find her so she could take a photo.  He is indeed as good looking in person as his picture is.  It seemed like he was really glad to meet his fans.
