She writes well. The fact that I got a few chapters into the book and couldn't go on because of the torture scenes (and overall despair) shows she writes effectively. The fact that I have one of those scenes burned in my head, a scene I wish I had never read and wish I could forget, also shows she is an effective writer.

Not for the faint of heart. Great, nasty-evil perverse crimes. Great characters.

The 2nd in the series & it was very good. The storyline was intense & tragic, the characters
were well written & I will read the next one.

While I really enjoyed the first book in the series, I found this one to be gratiously violent and the story to be convoluted. I won't be reading another book by this author again any time soon.
