Ingredients
  • 1 Large - Yellow Onion
  • 1 Large - Bell Pepper
  • 1 28 oz - Can Diced Peeled Tomatoes
  • 1 16 oz - Can Black Beans
  • 1 16 oz - Can Pinto Beans
  • 1 16 oz - Can Kidney Beans
  • 1 1/2 TBSP - Minced Garlic
  • 2 TBSP - Cumin
  • 1 1/2 TBSP - Oregano
  • 2 TBSP - Hershey's Unsweetened Cocoa Powder
  • 1 TSP - Dark Chili Powder
  • 1 1/2 TBSP - Masa Flour (Optional)
  • 1 Dash - Salt and Pepper
  • 1 TBSP - Hot Sauce of Choice
  • 1/8 TSP - Cayenne Pepper
Directions

Mix all dry ingredients and set aside.

Chop onion and bell pepper into cubes and set aside.

Lightly brown turkey with hot sauce. Drain excess fat. Place into slow cooker.  Add remaining ingredients.  Set slow cooker to LOW for 8 - 10 hours. 

If thicker chili is desired, stir in Masa Flour and set cooker to HIGH for an additional 30 minutes.


Notes

Heat can be controlled by adding / removing hot sauce and cayenne pepper.  Best served with some hot cornbread!
