Yes, these books can become dated quickly, but, as I have said before, their value is in using them in conjunction with a quick web search to see if the listings are still around. And if they are, they have passed the test of time! Besides, this particular book is a great introduction to the major "neighborhood cusines" of San Francisco, and even gives you directions to the streets where the restaurants are found. So, there you are!
