I found Karen Armstrong very interesting on C-Span talks, but found this biography a little hard going, but a good reflection on her early years.

This book was very compelling and I found it hard to put down. I was very interested to find out the reasons why someone would want to become a nun and then later change her mind. I found the author to be very honest about these years and her decisions.
