He reluctantly joins the Army, fighting only to defend himself, tempted by ideas of desertion and suicide. But when, left for dead, he saves the life of beautiful Ghostwind, an important seer, her people grudgingly accept him.
Although Ghostwind sees the Bluecoat soldiers in her dreams, bringing death and tragedy to her people, she cannot stop Mason Hall from coming into her life and changing her world forever.
Hall finds love and happiness among the Sioux. But ahead looms the Battle of Rosebud Creek. There he must choose between the people of his birth and the people who now hold his heart...
