3or 4 stars. It was a good read -- the author did an excellent job of setting up the background and giving you the feelings of these women. I felt like I could really identify. Also, I loved how these characters helped each other. I felt like I'd like to know them.

Great book! A story about 4 women at different points in their lives, but who found a common bond with each other. Each one's story was interesting and believeable. Debbie Macomber was able to keep the story lines interesting, yet simple to read. Some authors would have really over written this type of story. Very good, hated to see it end!

I enjoyed the book. It reminds you that no matter what you are going through in life there are always others who are going through much the same or more. It is always comforting to have others to talk to when you think you have lost all hope and faith in yourself and life.

This was the sweetest novel about 4 women who get together every Thurs. and share their lives over coffee and dessert. Among the 4 are a widow, a new 40ish divorcee, and a young mother. This book has such realistic dialogue that you think you are there, ease dropping from the next table. New love, forgiveness, acceptance of oneself, and true friendship are among the subjects that are discussed between them. As their lives unfold, you will be glad you made this book one of your own.

Four women share their lives. They meet for breakfast every Thursday morning at 8 a.m. Each woman is unique with her own joys and sorrows. The author does an excellent job of weaving them all together as their deep friendship grows and they help and encourage each other through some very well challenges and life changes. I found each woman very interesting and I thoroughly enjoyed this read. It included some hard things and some life lessons and ended with all the women still friends and much richer for having shared and cared for each other through thick and thin. You need to read this one!

This was my first book by Debbie Macomber and I loved it and will be reading more. I love stories that are intertwined between the characters telling us readers a little bit of history behind each main character. All the four women were interesting as were their stories. I would totally recommend this book.

I loved this book. I read it in one day. It's a beautiful story of friendship. I felt like I was really getting to know these four women and didn't want the book to end.
