This book was very enjoyable. Tiberius has always been look upon as a terrible, depraved man. However, this book portrays him as a man slandered by those closest to him and subject to the corruption of the Roman political system. Definitely worth reading, just to see how it is at least possible that Tiberius' name was ruined simply because he was away from Rome and waited too late to silence his enemies.
