Many of these songs incorporate familiar animals or toys. I used the sound of the animal or the action of the toy in presenting these songs. The children not only heard the tune, but experienced it visually through puppets, masks, or motions.
Singing must be fun for children of this young age. Their songs should also be clever enough to kindle the enthusiasm of the teacher. I have enjoyed teaching these tunes and so have the classroom teachers observing me. At their urging I am presenting this collection to you and your imaginative interpretation. Have fun!
