This book is different from a lot of romance books I have read. I like the fact that it was based around the Eastern Harbors and dealt with a subject I had not heard of "wrecking". Outerbanks, Boston, and Sag Harbor were all in here along with their history. Whaling and the details of that were in here also. I guess I was expecting an idealistic romance when what I read was more true to life of how things really are most of the time. It is not boring and kept me guessing how things were going to turn out and I learned a good bit.
