This book containes the first story in Lora Leigh's Bound Heart series. The story focuses so much on the BDSM elements and misses out a bit in the relationship issues. Quite frankly, it is a bit disturbing how the relationship evolves into being.

The Jaid Black book in this duo is the better of the two short novellas. It has an actual plot, with a protege groomed and dismissed, who had previously been told he may marry the daughter of the corporate president and take over later. The story resumes with time passed and the company in ethical problems and the daughter in charge. There is a forced marriage to resolve the problems. How they straighten out their marriage is the rest of the story, pretty good.

The second story by Lora Leigh is disappointing, with an inexplicable family divorce that leaves the heroine separated from her father and the compelling brother of her dad's new wife. Had an okay setup, but the actual steps were not romantic, and degenerated back to blaming the bitchy mom for various hang-ups. Heard this is the start of a Bound Hearts series, hopefully they have more plot than bondage and toy play.
