These stories were gathered from church papers in 1870 and published in 1910. The are a great bedtime story book, reader or a child or devotional book. Like books written during that time for children they entertain but also have lessons in strong Christian, morals and ethics. Each story teaches valuable lessons.
It also helps children see and learn what life was like for a child then and that even though their lives may have been different they faced the same temptations. It was written during a different era but the lessons are timeless. I wish schools still had books like this today. They are needed.
