Average and unmemorable. Seems to go off the conspiracy deep end.

By the time psychologist Dr. Alex Delaware reached the school the damage was done: A sniper had opened fire on a crowded playground, but was gunned down before any children were hurt.
While the T.V. news crews feasted on the scene and Alex began his therapy sessions with the traumatized children, he couldn't escape the image of a slight teenager clutching an oversized rifle. What was the identity behind the name and face: A would-be assassin, or just another victim beneath an indifferent California sky?
Intrigued by a request from the sniper's father to conduct a "psycological autopsy" of his child, Alex begins to uncover a strange pattern of innocence, neglect, and loss. Then suddenly it is more than a pattern-it is a trail of blood. In the dead sniper's past was a dark and vicious plot. And in Alex Delaware's future is the stuff of grown-up nightmares: the face of real human evil.

Another school shooting! This time the sniper was gunned down before any children were hurt. As psychologist Dr. Alex Delaware begins therapy sessions with the traumatized children, he begins to visualize the slight teenager clutching an oversized rifle. Intrigued by a request from the sniper's father to conduct a "psychological autopsy" of his child, Alex begins to uncover a strange pattern of innocence, neglect, and loss. Suddenly it is more than a pattern...it is a trail of blood.

A really intelligent psychological thriller about a child psychologist, asked by a distraught parent to explain his dead child's apparent descent to madness, who's investigation exposes a dark vicious plot.

Jonathan Kellerman is one of my favorite authors and this book is another one of his great mystery thrillers. I find that I can't put his books down once I start reading them.

Dr. Alex Delaware is always interesting to me. He investigates why a sniper has opened fire at a crowed playground. He works with the children to ease the trauma, and then begins to investigate the snipers reasoning at the snipers fathers request. An early work

A 1990 and the sixth of many Alex Delaware mysteries by Kellerman. I read this book a couple years ago, during my Jonathan Kellerman phase, I forgot most of it.

A friend of mine gave me a Jonathan Kellerman book and I was hooked instantly! Now I am going back and reading all of his books.

This story was well written and I love the relationship between Dr. Delaware and Milo (the cop)!

One of many of the books about psychologist Alex Delaware and his business of consulting with the police whenever children are involved in a murder, or some foul play. His characters are great. Good read.

I enjoyed this book, it had everything: Cops, Kids, a love interest and even Nazis. Dr. Alex Delaware gets into the thick of things because he is trying to be a good guy. I hope Dr. Delaware never gives up being a good guy.
