Ok, so this has probably been done many times before, but I am wondering if you had to pick your all time favorite Contemporary Romance what would it be?

Mine is Judith McNaught's Paradise.  Though I love love love her historicals (and I mostly read historicals), this is my all time favorite contemporary.  Everyone I let borrow it just falls in love with it.  Though I have now banned my mom for reading my books.  She decided to read it in the tub (gasp) and now its all wrinkled up, but I still love it.

no way..I feel panicked just at the thought of narrowing it down to 10 authors...let alone one book LOL! but off the top of my head I've have to say one of my fave re-reads is Wildest Hearts by Jayne Ann Krentz.

Yes!! That one was great. I liked Perfect too. But Judith Mchaught is such a good writer, how can you not like her contemporary stuff? Hope she puts something out soon.

That's a really hard question to answer since authors hit me in different ways. I love Linda Howard for a certain kind of book, SEP for an entirely different type of book, etc. My gotta-give-a-title-immediately answer is Susan Phillips' FIRST LADY. I put off reading it for ages, bought it because she's an auto-buy author but I didn't think I'd care for a 'political' type book - it was a sleeper, I loved, loved, loved it for the humor and the wonderful relationships between the adults and two kids. Keeper, keeper, keeper.

The Damsel in This Dress by Marianne Stillings. Great plot, witty dialogue.  2 great main characters.  It's one of my few keepers.

The Montana Creeds trilogy by Linda Lael Miller.  I have loved her writing forever.

Wow - I would have to say Match Me if You Can by Susan Elizabeth Phillips along with Honey Moon and Hot Shot and Dream a Little Dream lol. I also LOVED Lisa Kleypas' Blue Eyed Devil and Jennifer Crusie's Faking It and Crazy for You and Welcome to Temptation!

I have Paradise on my TBR list so it looks like I should get to it quick!

Virtually 99% of what I read is historicals.  Most of that Regency.  Yet my tbbw(to-be-buried-with) book is It Had to be You by SEP.  Hands down, no contest-if the house was on fire THAT is the book that I'd carry out with me.

If I had to choose one it would be Bet Me by Jennifer Cruise.

Just about anything by Jennifer Crusie or Susan E. Phillips.

Crusie it would be Crazy for You or Manhunting

Phillips? Match Me if You Can or Kiss an Angel

For a dark Contemp, I love Anne Stuart's Nightfall
