Hi kids.  Hoping someone can answer this for me.

I have two books that were requested on 9/5/08.  I know that they've timed out and moved on to another requestor by this time, due to the 48 hour rule, however it is still saying the time requested as 9/5/08.  I thought that when the request moves to another person, that the time requested changed to reflect this.

Is there anywhere I can see what is happening?  I know there were only four copies of the one book in the system, so I'm getting nervous.  Thanks!  :D

I think the time requested might just reflect when you requested the book originally, even if it rolls to the next person in the FIFO line.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

You have 5 days to accept a request for a book from your shelf.

If you order a non-WL book, the person has 5 days to respond to your request.

If a WL book is offered to you, you have 48 hours to accept.

The requested date will change when the order is passed. The person has to the night after the 5 full days to accept before it times out. Since you requested on the 5th the request should roll to someone else tonite at around 3 am.
