If a WL book is on a 48 hour hold and then times out and then goes onto the next person, can I tell? Does that show up in my transaction archive? I'm not in some big tear to get the book out and get a credit and I understand the reason for the 48 hours and I understand that I don't know to whom I might be sending it until they accept the request. I just haven't figured out if I have a good way of knowing if this is on the first or second person. Just sign me curious in vt |

The date should change on the WL hold tab. A timed out WL offer does not show up on the senders transaction archive. You'll be able to tell just from it being still on WL hold 48hrs after you posted it. |

Edited because I misunderstood your question! Sorry. I would think it would be on your transaction archive, but Mary says no, so I guess not! Last Edited on: 5/1/09 2:24 PM ET - Total times edited: 1 |

I had 2 time out on me this week and neither is in the TA. The 1 that was autorequest and then cancelled by the requestor is in my transaction archive. I think it only shows up if it was accepted at some point. So if you accept a request but then don't mark it mailed it should show up. Of a WL offer is accepted and then cancelled. But not if it times out. |

I have had a lot of them time out lately. The last one went through all of the people who had it on their WL with no takers. I know this because it was on WL hold for 8 days! Someone else did request it within hours of it being put on my shelf. That last one was the only one that made it to my transaction archive. |

Ok, I think I understand how it works now. I was just curious. I've sent out more than I have requested so it's not a big deal if this one sits awhile, I was just wondering. susan/vt |

When it shows up on your first page in the WL holds, there is a spot to send a PM to the wisher. You could check and write that person down on a note and then check again in a day or 2 to see if it's the same person or not---maybe a bit time-consuming, but could be done. |
