Hi, all! Veteran home educator here! Wondering if any of you have any "secrets" for finding home school items on here. The Genre feature doesn't really bring up much in the way of student books for older grades. Any tips?

I often look through other homeschooler's bookshelfs and wish lists.   I especially enjoy seeing what others are wishing for.  I have found some great thinks to add to my wish list that way!

I often use publisher names as an alternate way to find items. i also highly recommend requesting a Rainbow Resource Catalog from rainbowresource.com; it's a gaint catalog that has tons of homeschooling materials and gives review/recommendations; I use it to "prefind" items then look for them online.

Hope that's helpful.

I don't often find much for older students, like my high schoolers. I usually end up having to buy it. Some of the books for them have been on my wish list since they were in middle school, my oldest graduates next year.

But really the easiest way to find stuff is to know what you are looking for. Like Twilight, I find what I want in the Rainbow Resource catalog, or sometimes a couple of others, and then go looking.

If you know what books you want, add them to your wish list.  I've received lots of books from my wish list.  If you're looking for something that doesn't have an ISBN number (like A Beka), you can search for it occasionally using the book search option.
