I think every person in Alaska has read this book, or at least knows about Tisha. This book is also in alot of the bookstores in Alaska. Its a story about a young woman who grows up and strikes out on her own to become a teacher of rural Alaskan children. She succeds in bringing out the best in the kids and in others and in the mean time, happens to find love. Very touching story for kids and adults alike.
