If Tomorrow Comes is the story of Tracy Whitney, and how her perfect life goes horribly wrong... and how she makes the most of her new, rebuilt life.

This story was so much fun to read! The ingenuity of the protagonist in escaping from her various predicaments and the setup of the various cons and stings done in the course of the action continually surprised me, even up to the ending page. Sidney Sheldon writes a clean, thrilling story and keeps everything moving along at a fast pace. I was never bored, and often intrigued. This book was recommended to me, and I'm glad I took up the recommendation as I was not familiar with this popular author. Now I'm definitely going to seek out other works by Sheldon hoping they will match this one for sheer enjoyment and amusement. What a great quick read!!!!

I should have been more careful. If Tomorrow Comes is one of Sidney Sheldon's best and I looked forward to hearing it, not realizing that this is an ABRIDGED version. Extremely disappointed.

This book was fantastic. What a mind this author has to think up the schemes that he wrote. Excellent, couldn't put it down.

She's Tracy Whitney. Lovely, idealistic, she's soon to enter a life of hardhip and revenge, one that will lead her into a dazzling world of sumtuous wealth, audactious exploits, and narrow escapes - and to a passion, dangerous and elusive, that promises to fulfill all her secret dreams...

Great read! Loved loved loved the redemption story of the main character (although she did become a thief, but a GREAT thief!). One of my all time favorite stories.

In many ways "If Tomorrow Comes" is typical Sidney Sheldon. The main character is a beautiful heroine caught up in amazing situations filled with adventure and exotic locales; love and lust, power and privilege, fame and riches waiting to be experienced. But, it was a little too typical. The writing is standard mass-market mediocrity loaded with tons of dialogue to keep the pace flowing and the scenarios are often so predictable as to be anti-climactic. The structure of the story is a bit odd, however, as the very beginning feels like a novella that ends abruptly midway through the book. What follows are a series of capers that could have been sectioned off as short-stories if not for the recurring main characters. "If Tomorrow Comes" is enjoyable for what it is: a quick, entertaining read.
