An amazing company level account of Marines in the early days of the Korean War. Beginning from its original creation on the West Coast from battle-tested veterans, inexperienced reservists and untrained recruits, George Company saw endless action.

It landed in the first wave at Inchon and held the high ground against attacks by thousands of Chinese at the Chosin Reservoir. Scores of fresh replacements filled in for the men who fell dead and wounded. When the temperature reached -60F and the wind chill was -120F, George fought and held.

If you saw this in a movie, you would laugh at how much Hollywood exaggerated the story. But this is a true story of United States Marines.

Well written and an easy read.
