Anyone here ever check the "Top 50's"?  I mean the ones about books - not the referrals and swappers.   I've found it very useful with the most posted and most requested books.

I check it all the time!  I'm always curious what is popular, and I've gotten some ideas for my own WL.

There are lots of reasons I look at it.  I want to see my chances of getting my books requested (Dan Brown seems to run neck in neck with John Grisham for most books posted - although Grisham probably wins because there are so many different books of his on the list!).  Like you it tells me which books to pass up if I find any low cost  - don't tell my DH because he'd really be upset thinking I'm buying - at any price - more books that I don't want except to trade!  I have such a huge backlog of books that I DO want to read.  I even have books in boxes stuffed so far back in storage that I can't get to them - that's upsetting to me because I can't remember which books are in there! ;D   I'll do a lot to get books, but I'm not desperate enough to clean out that horror of a storage area.  The day will come, however, because we are thinking about renovating that part of the house.  It will make both us crazy!  LOL!!  :D
