hi all, sorry if this has already been posted. I'm looking for romance novels that are based on fairy tales, or highlander books. I want a highlander book where the hero is tough/cruel etc. and the heroine either had to marry him or sleep with him to unite their clans or something along those lines. i've read these books already, maybe some of you haven't =)

victoria alexander-princess and the pea (well I couldn't finish it)

julia quinn-an offer from a gentleman (cinderella)

cathy yardley-enslaved and crave(beauty and the beast and snow white)

judith mcnaugh-a kingdom of dreams(highlander)

maya banks-some of her highlanders

karen marie moning-some of her highlander series

lili dipasque-a dance at midnight-cinderella

If you like erotica Shiloh Walker has a book out The First Book of Grimm which is about Cinderella and Gretel (Hansel and Gretel).

If you like YA, Cinder by Marissa Meyer was good and Kill Me Softly by Sara Cross which was pretty good.

Here's a few I believe might fit most of what you're looking for:

Moon Craving by Lucy Monroe  (also a paranormal)

The Irish Devil by Donna Fletcher - fantastic book

If you want to read one where the hero really "hates" the heroine, but it's not a highland romance, read Silver Lining by Maggie Osborne.  Unbelievably good.

I just found another one - Beastly by Alex Flinn. Another YA but it's a really good Beauty and the Beast story.

I saw the movie beastly and I really didn't like it, but that could be because I'm not in high school lol. Thanks for the suggestion though!

Karen Marie Moning has a "Highlander" series - I've only read the first one so far, but I really enjoyed her "Fever" series.

I've read a couple of her highlander books, they all kinda blended together and i can't remember the differences. Except the one where the guy has 13 spirits in him, i think it's called immortal something. I wanted to read her fever series, especially once i realized it has an end.

The Fever series hasn't really ended LOL...but continues on with Dani's perspective in ICED.  I just reread the Fever series and am about half way through ICED.

The author of this book has many fairy tale re-telling stories.  This is the first one I read and liked a lot.

ISBN-13: 9780060753108

Evelyn - The Iced series is a continuation of the last Fever book  - it picks up where ShadowFever ended but this series is told from Dani's point of view and not Mac's.  I finished it last night.  It was good.  It has a good story line and some laugh out loud moments, some drama.  A couple parts dragged a bit for me but overall a good read if you liked the Fever books.
