I just joined PBS not very long ago.  I'm completely confused about the new fee structure.  I'm not a gold key member as I haven't been on the site long enough to see it that would have been a benefit.  So I currently have 2 credits, about $10 in PBS money, 30 books on my BS and 200 books on my WL.  If I don't do anything come 2/15 what happens to my account?  Hate to sound stupid, but I've read through all the posts and I'm still confused.  Anybody willing to try explaining this if I don't want to pay for membership?

The following link breaks down the features of each membership level: https://secure.paperbackswap.com/kiosk/primo_pricing.php

To find the FAQs about the membership levels, go to the Help Center and click on Browse Help Docs.  Once there, type "FAQ membership" in the search bar, then click on link, a popup window will come up with a good explanation of the membership levels and several questions regarding the Swap fees.

Your account will still be there; your wishlist will be there at 200 books. You can't add any new  books to your wishlist until it drops under 100 books.

For any book you order it will cost you 1 credit + $0.49 in PBS Money.

Your account will automatically become an "A la Carte" membership.

Your Wish List will be capped at 100. If you are over 100 at the time of the change, your will retain your Wish List status on the books already on your Wish List, but will not be able to Wish+ any more until you are under 100.

Any requests will require 1 credit + 0.49 swap fee paid either with PBS Money or a Free Swap Fee earned through Printed Postage.

Any time you mail a book using the PBS printed postage you will earn one Free Swap Fee (so using Printed Postage really makes that credit "free" to use later).

Thanks for everyone who replied.  I think I've got it now.  Not sure I'll stay with the site as I've sent out more books than I've gotten.  I'll give it a few weeks and see how things go.

Still confused.  Isn't there a fee for using printable postage?

the way I understand it, is when you use Printable Postage (55 cents) that earns you a "free swap fee", so your next request would not incur the 49 cent swap fee
