Since R&R changed the buddy list, I can now see my tour guide's name but she is no longer a member of PBS.  What should I do?  Can I contact R&R and get a new one added to my account?

That seems like the best solution to me if you want a new TG.  I couldn't find anything in the help section about this.

I had gotten a PM recently about my TG no longer being available and that if I needed up to go to Live Help and that in time a new TG would be assigned. I haven't found a TG all that helpful, they are never here when I need them, I go to Live Help, the Help Section, or ask the folks here on the Forum.

Don't hesitate to ask me any questions, too.  Glad to help all of you as much as I can.  There are segments of the site that ihave done very little of, but others that I know a lot about.

All the people listed under LH are Tour Guides, and they are all the ones most ready and willing to help answer questions. Some people signed up to be TGs and discovered it wasn't quite what they wanted to do, and their people never really got any help. That is one of the reasons R&R made the Live Help section, so that those most willing to answer questions, and most actively HERE to do so , would be listed for you to go to. Anyone of us are glad to help any one, not just our own assigned members, so you really don't need to be assigned to one specific TG, just pick one of us off the list in LH when you have a question. We'll all be happy to help.

And, Winston, why don't you get yourself signed up to be a TG? You have been here and around enough, I'm sure you can answer most of the questions we get. We'd definitely be glad to have you! If you are interested, send in a feedback to ask how to become one. I bet R&R will agree with me ;)

I''m on the site regularly - you can always PM me and I'll help ya!  You don't necessarily need to have a tour guide assigned to you to get help.  PBS does that when you first join so you know exactly how to find help right away.  Most of the people who get assigned to us stop asking us for help after the first couple weeks though.  You can find any of us through live help, or just add those of us who responded to this thread to your buddy list and ask us.

I"ve had a few people PM me with questions.  I'm more than happy to read up and then cut and paste an answer for them.  Or, if I can't find an answer, refer them to live help, or other reputable TG's.  Feel free to ask me anything as well.  :>)

Ironically, as a TG myself - I have a defunct TG listed on my own account.  R&R are aware of this bug, by the way.

TG assignments are mostly designed to help new members in their first few months - but anyone can find a TG any time using Live Help - that way you will get someone who's around right at that time.

Now, Winston.  Come on down to the TG Lounge (or we might have to talk about you, LOL!)
