This book was a big and very plesant surprise. I bought it at a used book store for the title alone to send as a joke. I just glanced at the first page and was sucked in (with 3 sacks of "new" books waiting.) It's a funny book about growing up and being a boy. One chapter was so funny (about defeating bullying), and I was laughing so loud, my 10 yo kept saying, "Tell me! Tell me!" So, I handed the book over and had him read the chapter.

Are you going to have this book on your bookshelf? It sounds like something I would like to read. Let me know if you're putting it out.

I am new to this area of paperback swap, in fact, your post is the first I've even looked at - so maybe I shouldn't even be asking you this, if so, just ignore one who doesn't know what she's doing...

Karen, your post is appropriate.  But, put the book on your wishlist, and if he lists it, it will automatically be offered to you, if no one else has it on their list.

Is this fiction, a memoir?

It's a memoir, and I recommend it highly. I put it on my shelf and it was immediately grabbed. I am glad because it is a funny and charming story, very well written.
