Well, I wanted to get thrilled by this, but according to the back cover the seminal event of his life was at age 15 moving from Newfoundland to Labrador. Then on the first page, he talks about 1844 (or maybe later, it was hard to tell) when the French and British were at war (not since 1815, in my reading of history). I Didn't feel like continuing.

Purchased this book when traveling in Labrador. "Trapline" takes you back half a century to a primitive and stark, yet beautiful and tranquil Labrador wilderness - a time when a man's deep love and respect for his environment were necessary for survival. The story recounts the early adventures of the author and his close friend and told in Ben Powell's own words.
