This book, as with all of Pierce's writings, will take you far away. She has a way of writing that is almost a song, immersing you in the story with her beautiful writing.

A wonderfully lyrical story/myth of seasons......life and death and rebirth.... Wonderful insightful read for both pagan and non-pagans alike, though much goddess based influence is present.. Thoroughly enjoyed this splendidly written book right to the last word.
