Good true crime. Not an over abundance of court stuff...mostly story.

This true crime story is well-written, and the case is almost unbelievable. The personalities and backgrounds of the people involved are fascinating. Following the events that lead to so much
unhappiness and tragedy was quite a journey.

A true-story murder story. Facinating, but creepy.

There is plenty of info in this book and it is reasonably well-written; however the downscale nature of the 'heroine' comes through loud and clear. It is hard to believe that her motivations and actions were as described considering her history and transgressions. Whether the author believed her tales or not is hard to tell, but he does state what she told him and the reader can draw their own conclusions. The crime is interesting enough, the killer selfish and evil enough. All in all, a satisfying read. I worked up practically no sumpathy for Sandra Underhill, who came close to taking the blame for her friend, Carri's murder. But I felt a great deal of sorrow for Carri's fate, her main problem seeming to be getting tangled up with Sandra. I would have liked to know more about Carri Copinger's life. Enjoyed the book.
