this book is a thriller in the Native American mystery genre. It is excellent, and it gives both Stephen King and Dean Koontz a run for their money! Leave the lights on!

In a remote town high in the Canadian Rockies, some mysterious and terrible killer is on the loose. Mutilated bodies appear in the snow, with no human footprints nearby. For Sam Hunt, this is especially terrifying -- Sam has been having blackouts, waking up miles from home, with blood on his face and no idea what he's been doing...

She may not be the most popular or well known author but having read this one I have to blame it on poor promotion. This one is far better then many I have read. Starting with a family of mixed cultures, modern times native Canadian Indian and Canadian. A native demonic legend come back and the battles for souls that ensue. Covering a few generations. If you like Dan Simmions, who is one of the best authors no matter what he writes, you will like this, I could compare it to the The Stand as well just for depth of the character development **without getting boring.

I love Muriel Gray! Her books are fascinating and totally involve you into the lives of her characters. She takes you places you never even imagined, like the frozen , whiteness in Canada to a small skiing town with an Indian reservation nearby. It is a chilling tale that involves several Indians and goes back and forth between the early 1900s and present time. This is a very well written story that captures you from the first paragraph of the first chapter!
