and the ISBN wasn't in the PBS System, and the following message came up:

This ISBN matches a book type that cannot be posted on Paperback Swap.  What does this message mean?  It's written by two popular authors who's books are regularly posted on PBS.

It's a hardback and there are 130 people wishing for the paperback version and 4 people for the hardback under the PBS 'fake ISBN".

Thanks. Pat

That's weird. I'd contact pbs.

I get that a lot when I post MP3 format audio CDs but have never gotten it for a paperbound book.  Something in the database is wacky on that one.  Maybe try putting the ISBN in an Amazon search and see how it's listed on AZ.  That might tell you what's wrong that is keeping it from being listed correctly in the PBS system.  IDK, just a thought.

Well, I got an answer from PBS and they state " If our database compiler makes a mistake about the booktype for a book, this can prevent the ISBN from being used here.

This means that your book with this ISBN will need to be posted using the "Post a Book without an ISBN" link on the Post Books page."

Therefore, I've posted the book - Nautier and Wilder by Lora Leigh and Jaci Burton under PBS ISBN 472066. Pat

Pat, you can also create a Tag (not a Note which only you can see) on the page for the hardback ISBN that states "Hardcover also available under PBS ISBN 472066".  Hopefully someone wanting the book will scroll to the bottom and see your Tag and order it.  (It's good to delete the tag when someone requests your copy.)

Valerie - thanks for the suggestion. Didn't know that. Pat
