This is an excellent police procedural that reminded me a little of Ed McBain's books. Well-plotted mystery, good main character, and the Minnesota setting is incorporated really well. This was the first I've read in this series, and I'm looking forward to reading more.

Hard to find first book in Gunn's series set in MN. Good character development for the following titles. Shocking and earthy, it grabs you right away and keeps you guessing. I recommend any of Gunn's mysteries as they are deeply descriptive and not for the squeemish. Amazing that she waiting this long in life before writing.
