Can anyone recommend a good book about Tristan and Isolde?  There's a few out there, but I'm hoping someone can recommend the best.

Rosalind Miles has a really good trilogy about them.  I've read the first two so far and have really enjoyed the story.

Yes it was with James Franco and Sophia Miles. It was called Tristan and Isolde and came out in 2006.  I thought it was pretty good.

I loved the movie. I had no idea there were books too.  I'm going to have to check them out as well.

I posted this question on historicalfictiononline as well and I ended up ordering Iseult by Dee Morrison Meaney.  I ordered from half.com.  I also ordered Stealing Heaven by Marion Meade, which is about Abelard and Heloise.  I saw the movie years and loved the story.  I got both books for a total of $8.48 including shipping.  Not too bad.

The Dark Shore, by Susan Howatch, is good. It might be out of print, but libraries and internet used book sites have it.

Let me know how you like.  I got Iseult in the mail yesterday, but I will be awhile before I get to it.  I'm still reading The Autobio of Henry VIII.
