A few years ago, my husband got me the Trivial Pursuit Book Lover's Edition. IT is a great game. The problem is, aside from my sister who lives in another state, I dont have anyone to play with. I keep feeding books to my teenager, hoping that one day, she will be able to play it with me. lol.

So, I was curious. Has anyone else gotten this game? Do you find it difficult to get anyone to play?

There's a book lovers edition?? I did not know that. I love playing Trivial Pursuit (probably because I'm pretty good at it) so I'd probably love this version even better. Like you, I'm not sure who I'd play with. All of my "bookish" friends live states away.

OOhh !   I want that game!  I have never heard of it !  Although, I am sad to say that I would run into the same problem as you with not having anyone to play it with.  hhhhmm, I'm gonna go look it up right now, I've never seen it !  Thanks!

Yikes !  I just looked it up on Amazon and it was priced at $129.95 ! To pay that much money and never have anyone to play it with !

I'm suddenly bummed ! Maybe someday huh!

$129??? Ouch.  I know when I got it, my hubby paid $29 for it at Barnes and Nobles. That was maybe 4 years ago.

Kat- maybe find a book club at your local library and see if anyone there would enjoy it or even the book group in teams..

Did not even know it exsited. Need to find a copy that will be great for library staff day games..

Ooh that sounds awesome, but yeah, I'm not sure I could find enough people to play with me!

I feel your pain. No one will ever play Classic Movie Scene-It with me for that same reason.

Book-lover TP sounds fun too, is it really hard?

That sounds like a lot of fun, but I have no idea who'd play it with me :-p  As much as I read, I'm not sure how good I'd be at it.  If there was a romance category, I'd be toast!  Anything else could be hit or miss.  I like other Trivial Pursuit games, but I have noticed I am not that great at the literature section...I always hope for a Shakespeare question :-p

My sister and i always do well on the Classic Literature and non-fiction, however have a difficult time on modern literature. At the time I got it, she lived closer and we would play all the time and neither one of us read modern fiction. The past three years I have been reading modern mystery and fantasy, so I am little better at it now. But I also am toast on the romance section.

Have it. Love it. Can NEVER get anyone to play it with me ... I end up just reading the cards and testing myself!
