A small, family-owned candy factory is the focus of this book. The narrator, Alice, marries into the family. I enjoyed some of the funny moments, and the voice of this slightly unreliable narrator. Background info on the candy business added texture to the story. As I live in Connecticut, I also enjoyed the references to places I know. Pacing was a little slow at times.
