This was a good fast paced book. The main character, a reporter, was funny, and always getting himself in trouble with women and at his job. He curses a blue streak, but the plot was great, and it kept me laughing. He is a reporter in a race against time to keep an innocent man on death row from dying. Not your usual set up, and very enjoyable.

A mystery/suspense with a newspaper reporter becomes interested in a death row case. Sometimes the book is hopeful, sometimes it's incredibly bleak. Plus the preparations for the "death chamber" are kind of unsettling, but well-writtern. I will definitely be looking for more books from Klavan.

Very different approach to a reporter's part in an execution.
