Wow..that's great.  There use to be a lady named Carrie something that had a book review page of true crime books and I always liked knowing what was new and coming out but she quit I think,  None of the people I know read true crime books...it's a lonely genre :)

I just checked it out - that is a good site!  I have been going to amazon.com, there are good book reviews there, too.

The Crime Library and Serial Killer Database SKDB are my favorites. No book reviews but plenty of info.  Nikki, you hit the nail on the head ( being a lonely genre) People I work with think I'm a little scary because I read about serial killers, child killers and psychos.  I'm fascinated by it all!!!  My mom and brothers are the only people I know who even read!! Every body's watching TV while I'm sitting on the back porch with Romeo and Hootie (my St. Bernard and Yorkie) devouring books.

Hi everyone,

add me to the Lonely True Crime Lovers club.  I get weird looks when I say I prefer this genre over fiction.

In fact I joined PBS because my library has very few true crime books.

Right now I am reading  "Playing with Fire" by John Glatt which recently came out.  It's pretty good.

I liked ~Playing with Fire~  I also saw a program about it.  I really like it when Dateline or 48 Hours does a program about a book I have read.  I wish there were more programs on like those 2.  Nancy Grace can't get off breaking news stories about Tot Mom..and I still watch her but I want more current crime programs.  Greta went to politics now...so I don't watch her program at all.

My husband is always looking at the books I read and asks me if he should sleep with one eye open its been a joke for years I've read true crime since I was 15 and he just figures I know every possible way to kill off somebody,The funny thing is I hate violence guns anything like that I don't no why I'm so hooked on true crime, right now I'm spending hours on the doe network reading about all the missing people in there data base circumstances surrounding the disappearance if any it;s interesting but scary.

Thanks for the info.  I agree it's a lonely genre.....and I can't find anyone that likes TC and people always look at me like I'm crazy for liking it.
