This is probably the best book I've read in ages! Keeps you intrigued from page 1 ... and doesn't let up until the very end.

This was one heck of a thriller! It actually gave me a few bad dreams after staying up late reading it. The premise of the book was about dissatisfied husbands or wives using murder rather than divorce to get rid of their spouse. But the murders are not the usual killings but a guaranteed non-traceable cancer or other natural caused illness. The characters, both good and evil, are very well developed in the story. The most interesting is the evil Dr. Tarver, a brilliant researcher who is using the victims as experiments to develop a biological weapon. This is the first Iles novel I've read but I'm sure I'll be reading more of him. High recommendation for this one.
