I liked the book. Desdemona is a catier. She sofens Sam, the boss of a consulting firm. He thinks mariage is suppost to be a business deal.
This is a great book. Absolutely a "must read". Spicey with plenty of humor and suspense mixed in.
An oldie but a goodie that I just reread. Delightful character development and theatrical secondary characters accompany caterer Desdemona as she falls for Sam, the nerdy but hunky head of a computer firm. I very much enjoy Krentz's quirky leads and their banter. There's also a mystery plot line and good writing about family dynamics.
First Jayne Ann Krentz book I ever read and I was hooked from there!
Sam, although he is wealthy, is a computer nerd who keeps getting left at the altar; until he starts to date his caterer. Lots of fun!
This is a wonderful book about a computer nerd who gets left at the altar and his wedding caterer.
Sam has been left at the alter - again - and Desdemona Wainwright, his caterer sets out to comfort him.
Typical boy meets girl, girl hates boy, boy hates girl, then fall in love.
Great story!
I realllly enjoy her books and this one was great! So, opposites DO attract?!
somewhat nerdy hero, with a somewhat doormat heroine. It's an okay book, but nothing too memorable about it. Not bad and yet not great.
Was a great book, had a hard time putting it down.
When Desdemona Wainwright tries to collect her catering bill for Sam Stark's cancelled wedding reception, opposites begin to attract. Stark, the head of a multimillion-dollar consulting firm, thinks he's found the perfect mate--but Desdemona feels the need to break down the walls around his heart.
I think my very favorite Jayne book. I had to get my own hard cover copy..........and I read it at least once a year. It was the first book to mention a PDA and at the time, I didn't even know what that was! Now I'm never without my Palm.
Romance between a dramatic caterer and a stoic computer geek. Great fun !
Desdimona Wainwright thinks Sam Stark looks much too calm for a man wha has just been left at the altar. But she was hired to cater his wedding, not to save it. She marches into Sam's office to demand the much-needed payment for the canceled reception- and discovers opposites do attract!
